David Estrin retired as president after 19 years in the PEO business and Robert McKown was named his successor.
2006
Company name changed to XMi Human Resource Solutions for branding purposes to better align with XMi’ s family of companies.
January 1, 1999
Acquired by Xebec Management Inc., (XMi) where the company’s name was changed to The Personnel Department and David Estrin remained as president and founder.
October 1989
Founded as one of the first licensed Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) in Tennessee as Benefit Staffing, Inc. Founders were Paul Dougherty and David Estrin who combined had over 25 years of experience in the personnel and human resources fields. Recognized among the top five PEOs in the state of Tennessee during the company’s early years.
