Robert McKown is president of XMi Human Resource Solutions. He has over three decades of far-reaching business and human resource experience in leadership and organizational development, team building, training, outplacement and employee relations. Mr. McKown has distinguished himself as an expert in leadership and strategic human resources, serving as a consultant, mentor and coach to a broad range of professionals in diverse organizations.

Prior to joining XMi, Mr. McKown managed and owned The RHM Group for 18 years, a Nashville-based consulting firm which specialized in custom solutions to meet the human resource, leadership, training, outplacement and business needs of all types of organizations nationwide. He merged his business and its clients with XMi Human Resource Solutions in July 2007.

During his corporate career, Mr. McKown has managed the human resources, labor relations, training and continuous improvement functions for divisions of major corporations, including Amstar Corporation (Domino Sugar) and Ingersoll-Rand Company.

Mr. McKown is a leader in his field. He is president of The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Middle Tennessee Chapter. As a certified career consultant and trainer, his contributions to the industry include taking a lead role in developing a distinctive Leadership Development Program to train local high-potential human resource professionals in strategic business leadership skills. He also serves as an instructor for human resources and legal workshops conducted by National Business Institute.
His work within the human resource industry was recognized by the Tennessee SHRM Council where he was awarded its 2005 Human Resource Management Excellence Award for his exceptional contribution to the human resource profession. He also received the 2004 Outstanding Member of the Year award from the Middle Tennessee SHRM for his service to his chapter.
